Life and times in Korea
As mentioned earlier, life has become normal here. Everyday things don't phase me as odd or unusual quite like they did when I got here. I suppose I will have to just document my everyday happenings to keep everyone updated.
A few weeks ago, some friends and I went out for someone's birthday. These are a few photos from the night.

These are my friends Shannon and Amanda. I work with Amanda. Shannon introduced herself to us at a bar a couple months ago, which is nice because it has opened us up to another group of friends.

These are my students. We got to have a play day, of sorts, to celebrate Lunar New Year. The next pictures are from this play day.

Ji yoon. Adorable.

One event was dressing up in costumes. This is Mickey. He gave me a run for my money, but I will miss him.

Daniel. A sweetheart through and through.

Some of the girls dressed up as princesses.

Mickey with his power ranger mask on.

Wendy and Amy.
Another event from the play day was jumping on an air bounce. Nearly 30 5 year olds all jumping together.... good idea....

One of the activities was playing in a balloon room. Ji yoon with many balloons.

Daniel with many balloons.

Min-ji with many balloons.
Kids playing in the balloon room. It gets pretty cute around 1 minute when they start showing me how many balloons they can carry.

Friday night party at my place. We needed alcohol. The 5 liter bottle of 30% soju seemed just perfect. Don't worry, we didn't finish the bottle yet.

Shoes always come off in Korea. This is what my front door looked like after people arrived.

Coworkers. Mark, Mel, and Amanda.

February 26 was the last day of the semester. My kids brought many snacks to celebrate.

Shoes are not worn in the school; we wear slippers or indoor shoes. The kids love putting on my slippers because my feet are obviously much larger than theirs. Min-ji was very amused.

Last day of school class photo.

Genie, from my afternoon class, was celebrating her birthday on the last day of school. She is so sweet and adorable. I will miss her.
