Anyang Art Park

Amanda and I had heard there was an art park in Anyang (pronounced 'on yong', the city where we live), but we tried two previous times and were unsuccessful in finding this park. Recently, after consulting a few more sources, we decided to try one more time to find this supposed park. Success! We found it. A short bus ride away, we found a park with some interesting sculptures displayed.

This was called 'paper snake.' It was made of a paper material, so that part I get. But calling it a snake is a stretching it a little, I think.

Koreans love spending time in parks. I admire this actually. People back home need to learn to spend more time outside just being there. The Koreans bring food and games, and just spend the day, and into the night, relaxing outdoors. I'll miss this.

This is as Korean as it gets. Mirrors are abundant in this country. So, of course there would be an art display of mirrors.

This is a giant spinning Buddha, with a propeller....

A building made of many, many milk crates.

Inside the building of many, many milk crates.

This was called 'the revolver.' From the outside, you could see that it resembled the 'L' shape of a revolver, or any gun I guess.

This spiral ramp took up a maybe two stories to see a view of the park.

This is the view from the top. I love that Seoul is a valley. We are surrounded by mountains, and it's beautiful.

A statue on the side of the mountain.

A view down to the street to a man made waterfall.

Me at the top of the spiral walkway.

This was half zebra, half ostrich. There was also a half shark, half kangaroo....

A restaurant that we passed had practically a whole pig rotating a skewer. As gross as it looks, it smelled so good.

A stream in the park.

That was my trip to the Art Park. The weather was finally getting warm, and it was so nice to walk around outside.
